Overlay two PDFs

Brother Layer lays the pages of one PDF on those of another: a letterhead under a letter, a note on a whole file.

No file leaves your device, from import to download.

How to, frequent questions

How to do it

  1. Drop the PDF or PDFs that receive, in the area above.
  2. Choose the PDF to lay on, then whether it goes over the pages or under them.
  3. Click “Overlay the PDFs”, then download the copy.

Overlaying two PDFs puts a letter on your letterhead, or a note on every page of a file, without copying anything out.

Brother Layer does everything on your device: your documents never leave your computer or your phone.

Frequently asked questions

How do the pages match?

Page 1 of the laid PDF goes on page 1, page 2 on page 2, and its last page on every page left: a one-page letterhead serves a whole document.

Over or under, what is the difference?

Over, the laid PDF covers the page: for a note or a stamp. Under, it shows only where the page is blank: for a letterhead. A scanned page, which paints its paper, hides it entirely.

Are my PDFs sent to a server?

No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. No file is sent or stored.

Does the text stay text?

Yes: the text of both PDFs stays selectable and searchable, and the laid page is fitted to each page without distortion.

What about a protected PDF?

A protected PDF cannot be laid on: unlock it first with Brother Passkey.
