Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF sent to a server?

No. The conversion happens in your browser, on your device. No file is sent or stored.

What is kept?

The text, paragraph by paragraph, with its font, size, bold and italics, and the pictures where they stand. Each page of the PDF starts a new page of the document.

Will the layout be the same?

Not always. A simple document comes out faithful. Tables become lines of text, and a page in columns is copied column after column. Read the document again before you send it.

What about a scanned PDF?

A scan has no text: only its picture is kept. Run it through OCR first to read its text, then convert the copy.

Which file format is made?

A .docx document, Word's format since 2007, which Pages, LibreOffice and Google Docs also read.
