How to do it

Frequently asked questions
Which PDFs can be repaired?
A download cut short, a truncated attachment, a file whose internal table is wrong or missing, a PDF preceded by stray bytes. Brother Mender reads the objects of the file one by one and rebuilds its structure.
Is everything recovered?
What is still in the file, yes. What is missing does not come back: if the end of the file is lost, the last pages may be missing. The number of pages found shows before the repair.
Is my PDF sent to a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. No file is sent or stored.
What about a protected PDF?
Type its password when asked: the repaired copy keeps the same password.
What about a signed PDF?
It is refused: the rewritten copy would make its signature invalid.
