or drop it here
No file leaves your device, from import to download.
How to do it
- Choose a PDF on your device.
- Draw or type your signature, or import an image. Place it and any text on the pages you choose.
- Click “Sign the PDF”, then “Download the PDF”.
Brother Quill helps you place your signature on the page you choose. Adjust its position and size before downloading the result.
The signature is added to the PDF without turning its pages into images. Check the downloaded document before using it.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a digital signature with a certificate?
No. This tool adds a visual signature to your document. It does not create a certificate or verify the signer's identity.
How do I create my signature?
Draw it with a mouse, finger or stylus, type your name in a handwritten font, or import a PNG, JPG or JPEG image. You can move it, resize it and place it on several pages.
Can I add my initials or a note beside my signature?
Yes. In Text, enter your initials, name or a short note and choose Handwritten or Simple. You can place several different texts and signatures together. Added text becomes a transparent visual mark, so it is not selectable as text in the exported PDF.
Will my image's background be removed?
A drawn signature has a transparent background, and PNG transparency is preserved. A JPG keeps its background: the tool does not remove it automatically.
Are my PDF or signature uploaded or saved?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Holy PDF does not keep your signature in permanent storage; it is no longer available after you close the page. The PDF you download stays on your device.
Can I change a PDF that is already digitally signed?
This tool refuses PDFs that already contain a digital signature, so it does not silently change the signed document.
Which files can I import for my signature?
PNG, JPG or JPEG files, up to 10 MB and 16 million pixels. You can also draw your signature directly in the tool.
