Terms of use
The monastery rules, in plain words.
Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Holy PDF site. Using the site means accepting them.
The service
Holy PDF offers tools to work on PDFs: combine them, split them, convert them, make them lighter. The tools are free and work without an account. They run in your browser: your files do not leave your device.
The list of tools may change: a tool may arrive, change or disappear.
Your documents
Your documents remain yours. Holy PDF does not receive them and acquires no right over them.
You must have the right to process the documents you open with Holy PDF, and use them lawfully. You remain responsible for their content and for what you do with them.
Signature
The Sign tool places an image of your signature on the document: a simple electronic signature. Without a certificate, it is neither an advanced nor a qualified electronic signature under the eIDAS regulation. It does not replace a qualified signature where the law requires one.
Availability and warranties
Holy PDF is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of availability or result. The site may stop, for an update or an outage.
Always keep your original files, and check the result before you use it: a tool can get an unusual file wrong.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for damage arising from the use of the site: lost data, a badly converted document, an interruption of the service.
Intellectual property
The code of the site, its texts and illustrations included, is free software, published under the AGPL-3.0-or-later licence on GitHub. You may read it, change it and redistribute it under the terms of that licence.
The Holy PDF name, the logo and the monk remain reserved: they designate this site, and no other product, site or service. What you may do with them is written in BRAND.md. Components by other authors keep their licence: see the credits of the legal notice.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top shows their latest version. Using the site after a change means accepting the new version.
Governing law
These terms bind you and the publisher, Snouzylabs S.R.L. (see the legal notice), and are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, first write to hello@holy-pdf.com to look for an amicable solution.
