Press
Holy PDF in brief, to write about the project.
Holy PDF in brief
Holy PDF brings together free online PDF tools that work on documents in the browser: no file is uploaded. Each tool has its monk, from Brother Staple, who merges, to Brother Press, who compresses. The site is available in French and English.
The facts
- Free, no account, no hidden limit.
- Local processing: files do not leave the device, from import to download.
- Tools to organize the pages of a PDF, edit and sign it, convert images and scans to PDF and back, compress and protect it.
- Open source engines, PDFium and qpdf, compiled to WebAssembly.
- The site’s code is free software, under the AGPL-3.0-or-later licence: github.com/Snouzy/holy-pdf.
- A desktop app for Mac and Windows, then Linux, in the works, built on the site’s code.
The founder
A developer, also the creator of Workout.cool. The founder’s story, and the project’s, are in About.
